Exar Kun

|0 comments* buff: Kinetic
* get Tact and Heal stims from your Officer
* bring range and melee weapons
Phase One
* green electrical storms come down from the ceiling all during the fight and settle whereever your toons feet are. When they reach the ground, MOVE
* one tank is on the boss, tank him basically where he stands between the pillars. One Medic will keep him alive while everyone else kills the each of the 10 cultist npcs as they turn from white to yellow
* once all the cultist npcs are dead, attack the boss while moving around the room. Auto fire only on the boss, avoid stacking dots/bleed/any special
* Do not fire upon the boss if there is a debuff on you. It will damage and possibility wipe out the entire group
* this is the debuff icon that you need to watch out for
Phase Two
* take out the skreegs
* target order > Mother > Vin > Minder
* fire everything special/attack here, the easiest fight in EK
Phase Three
* do not stay inside the boss square platform
* shoot the boss once to start the fight, attack IN ORDER:
1. calming influence
2. tomb guardian
3. pain bringer
* a prisoner will get out of his cage and start walking. NOTE THE SYSTEM MESSAGE. Execution will go live in 10 sec after the system message
* executioner must be killed as soon as he goes live, he can not be snared except for Pistol Whip
* after the executioner and caretaker protector, another group of the CTP will spawn. Kill calming influence, tomb guardian, then pain bringer again, follow by caretaker protector and executioner
* once you have killed CTP group twice, move to the other side of the room and repeat killing CTP/Exe/Protector again. When the Last Caretake Protector goes red, ignore him and kill CTP first.
* as soon as the Last Caretaker Protector died, gas will appear behind you. Attack the boss with your all your range special, move around the room with your group and medic.
* the boss won't move so don't go inside the platform at all. Keep attacking him with range/special, there will be a debuff on you during this fight. It has to deal with attacking him with electrical damage, however it is not a big deal so keep shooting
* here is the debuff icon, no need to worry about it
NOTE: an alternative way is to kill the Last Caretaker Protector as soon as he appears so the last CTP group won't spawn at all. You must kill the Last Protector under 15 seconds or it will spawn both gas and CTP.
Phase Four
Take out 3 groups of two cultist guardians on the bridge
* there are two ways to approach this boss.
* one tank, normally a Frontman Commando will aggro/dots the boss while two medics keep him alive inside the room.
* tank task here is to keep him aggro by the wall, stack 10 dots, armor shredder on him while position secured.
* or position the tank right at the entrance so medic can area spray everyone
* everyone will stay outside the room and attack with your range weapon auto attack only, don't use any special.
* you will catch on fire from the outside, you must move away from everyone as soon as you are on fire. Walk(press shift while moving), towards the back of the bridge until the fire goes away.
* two medics need to work out the order to heal/keep the tank alive
* keep auto firing at him until the boss die
* DON'T USE action/special attack when you have this action debuff
* move away from everyone/towards the bridge when you are on fire
Alternative approach
* everyone equip with fire elemental damage weapon
* let the tank build up aggro/stack fire dots while two medics keep him alive inside the room
* everyone will go INSIDE the room, stay 8m within the boss and fire at him with everything including special attack/dots.
* when you get the action debuff, stop using action/special attack or it will kill you
* when you are on fire, simply walk outside the room until it goes away
* this method is much faster but require better communication/coordination
NOTE: Serpent Shard helps greatly with the elemental fire damage here
Phase Five
* 4 guards. left to right are Lingering Harmony (1), Promised Vengeance (2), Unquenchable Wrath (3) and Embraced Chaos (4).
* before the fight start here are the assigned positions
* one melee on Embrace Chaos
* one melee on Lingering Harmony
* one range elemental swap on Unquenchable Wrath
* one medic will keep Element swap/tank alive, while the other medic look after everyone else
* one range on Promised Vengeance
* when the fight start, Embrace and Lingering will run between the two melee tanks. The melee tanks should not move at all, keep them running between each other until Promised and Unquenchable died.
* range tank on Promised will fire everything at him except for aoe attack, kill him as fast as you can while avoid drawing aggro from Unquenchable Wrath.
* elemental swap tank will be switching elemental range damage on Unquenchable Wrath. You will see the first element icon when the fight start, as soon as you see the next blinking element icon, you can switch right away. Repeat that until he dies.
* here are the four elements
* you can switch to the next element as soon as the next icon appear
* everyone else can range attack/special on Promised. After Promised goes down, move on to Unquenchable, again only use auto range attack on Unquenchable.
* after Unquenchable, everyone else except the two melee tanks will auto range attack ONLY on Lingering and Embrace. Commando can stack element dots on them to speed things up.
* as soon as 4 of the guards are dead, the Wordbearer turns from white to red. One tank will keep him aggro, while everyone run up the stairs in order to avoid green electric storm on the floor. Fire everything/special at him, he is an easy fight.
* EXAR KUN and the Sword will spawn after, let the tank aggro Exar Kun and everyone will attack the Sword. Group both of them together while stacking aoe attack/dots. The last boss is not hard at all, it is the easiest part of the fight next to the Minder boss.
